Meet The Maker
Hi my name is Adetoro a Mum to one millenial and 2 genzees, I am the face behind ElizabethJulianah. I coined the name after my mum Julianah and my granny Elizabeth I caught the sewing bug from watching my Aunt who is a medical doctor make beautiful dress for my sisters and I. My Dad was kind enough to buy me my first Brother machine, and the rest they say is history. I am fully self taught and I have honed my skills over 20 years.
I can make all kinds of clothes but I have chosen a niche area which concentrates on vintage silhouettes.
There's something about the feminism, glamour and romanticism of the old styles some made popular by Hollywood greats, the Joan Crawford's, Rita Hayworth's and Ava Gardner's of this world. I love timeless dresses too.
Each piece is made for the individual, made to order I only cut the fabric when there is a request.
From pattern drafting to construction, posting and customer service, everything is done by me in my studio in Hertfordshire England. You are able to choose from my size chart or send me your individual measurements.
I use high quality cottons from reputable British manufacturers to make dresses that will stand the the test of fashion changes and time. Each dress takes a maximum 10 working days to make.
